The final stage is to sand the driveway. 'Sweep-in sand' is specially treated fine sand which, when swept into the small gaps between bricks, prevents the growth of weeds between the bricks. For the sand to go right down into the joints between bricks, it must be swept in dry conditions.
These are the main steps in the installation of a driveway. Other factors, such as cabling for exterior lighting, extra drainage, manhole covers, pillars, gates, walls and fencing, are also dealt with as required.
